Dravya Guna Vigyan is a science which deal with pharmacognocy, pharmacology, pharmacy and therapeutic of Herbal medicine. It is an important branch of Ayurved; as plant drug is the main tool of Ayurvedic treatment. Along with theoretical lectures, practical knowledge is given to students through live demonstration of medicinal plants in the herbal garden. It maintains a museum of raw samples of drugs of more than 500 species.

The department maintains herbal garden near college and hostel, spread in 2½ Acres.
Total no. of species 300 and total medicinal plants in Gardens are more than 450 including rare species.
